Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
Seriously, I want this played at my funeral. This just makes me smile.

What can be said. I can’t think of anything. This is about as bizarre as they get!
Ok, this is about as saccharine as is humanly possible. You may need an insulin shot after watching this. But damn if it ain’t cute.
Jeez, great use of a kids toy! When the hell is Rammstein coming back around here? Those guys are insane…
I have to put these here, cuz I watch these about 3 times a week. It’s too bad about Jimmy Fallon. As in, him being in the videos at all.
Debaser, after the jump.
Facebook. It’s pretty great. It’s pretty addictive. But it can also be simultaneously annoying and overcrowded. Are you sick of seeing stupid updates from the likes of Farmville or Mafia Wars or whatever game is hot this week? Or do you have so many friends that it’s a second job keeping up with their status updates? Perhaps you get odd requests to be friends with people since they see your info and think you’re fine (I admit, this happens to me ALL THE TIME). Well, sit right on down and let’s make your Facebook experience slightly more manageable.
Found this at my buddy Dan’s blog. Fantastic!
Welcome to the first of the holiday covers! We’re going to kick it off with a Mountain Goats song that doesn’t exist. Hail and Farewell Gothenburg was never actually released, but made its way out on to the Internet a while back. While John Darnielle doesn’t discuss the songs at all, they still come up from time to time in his live sets. Such was the case earlier this year on the Gone Primative tour, when John opened his Somerville, MA set with the forth track from Hail and Farewell.
This song recently came to memory due to a Mountain Goats show last week. It’s brief, succinct, and not difficult to interpret. Unfortunately, I don’t have the same energy as John, but I’m ok with how this came out. There’s an annoying guitar cut out at the beginning. Oh well.
I Love You, Let's Light Ourselves on FireComing up on the next installment: One of my favorite Courney Love songs. No, seriously.
Welcome to the holidays again. Time to buy schtuff, get schtuff, and run around like a crazy person. 2009 has had some serious ups and downs this year, and I for one will be thankful for when 2010 comes round and we’ll have a new year to complain about!
As used to be customary on this site, I’ll be posting a few covers up over the month. But in case that doesn’t happen, I hope you and yours enjoy the final month of 2009!
Two mellow cuts from the master of the two string bass, Mr. Mark Sandman. Hard to imagine that he died on stage after watching this video, huh? I mean, he seems so full of life! Also: Could he have a more appropriate last name? I always pictured him in a film adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s books. Heh.
